Who are we?
The Chattanooga Area Regional Council of Governments (CARCOG), practicing business under the established name of Southeast Tennessee Development District, is owned and governed by local and municipal governments throughout Southeast Tennessee and Northwest Georgia. Our work is accomplished by utilizing local, state, and federal funds to deliver programs and services to the local governments we serve.
Our work is guided by a deep commitment to empowering communities and fostering lasting progress. Rooted in partnership and purpose, we champion initiatives that enhance the way we care, build, and work, with people at the center.
